Born in Los Angeles, California, AJ is among many underground artists who became well known for producing and collaborating with various amount of talent such as Charlie Wilson, Ty Dolla $ign, Don Toliver, Ant Clemons, Smokey Robinson, K-Ci Hailey, and others. In addition to making songs with others, he started making some of his own; developing a sound of the R&B/Soul flavor while mixing melodic/old-school Hip-Hop.
